The mixed-use development has 228 apartments and 25,000 square feet of office space.

Real estate development firm California Landmark Group announced it has completed the final phase of G8, a $120 million mixed-use project in Los Angeles’ Marina del Rey neighborhood. The project encompasses 228 rental apartments and 25,000 square feet of creative office space.

Spanning an entire city block in Marina del Rey’s Marina Arts District, G8 is blocks from the beachfront, bike paths, shopping and restaurants. Construction kicked off in 2017 on the community, which features a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging in size from 550 to 1,500 square feet. Of the 228 units, 23 are designated affordable and 68 are co-living units.

As part of the design of G8, CLG commissioned several local, national and internationally well-known street artists—including Risk, Colette Miller, Oli-B, Bunnie Reiss, Ducexone, Wrapped, James Goldcrown, Beau Stanton and Damon Martin—to create “colorful interactive art” throughout the neighborhood, according to the developer. The idea behind the art was to “enhance community identity and provide a sense of place,” said CLG Founder Ken Kahan in prepared remarks.

Resident amenities at the property include 18,000 square feet of exterior common areas that feature a public park, swimming pool, spas and an 8,000-square-foot roof deck with grills and lounge seating. Interior amenities include more than 10,000 square feet of shared indoor workspaces, a private movie theater, a game room and a fitness center.

Los Angeles-based CLG has acquired, repositioned and developed more than $1 billion of Class A multifamily and commercial real estate in California since its founding 30 years ago. The developer has a long history in Marina del Rey. With its newest completed development, CLG has now delivered 9 mixed-use properties totaling one million square feet.

Last year, CLG completed C1, a $30 million, 68-unit community in Marina del Rey. The property includes 17 co-living units and is the first large multifamily project in the Los Angeles area to include co-living units.
